I didn't sleep on Friday night- just worked on my essay all night till 5 pm on Saturday. Thus when I finally got to sleep at 3 in the morning today, I had all these weird dreams that I can tell symbolize my essay and being done with it and how I feel about both of these things. Storytellers went well tonight, although I missed most of Eric's and Kristin's story because a distraught Molly-the-freshman (the one who told me I was badass at the Jurassic Park party) came into the Chasement just after Eric had started. I spent some time with the photographer (hired by the school to do publicity photos) yesterday. Sail picnic today was fabulous, I was on a boat with 5 seniors and the people who owned the boat had brought their granddaughter along for the ride. I spent most of the ride hanging out with the granddaughter, who is very bright and fun to talk to- I think she was late elementary-school age, but she was two grades ahead so she was starting middle ( Read more... )

I met John C. Wright yesterday, and he signed the title page of his short story in the science fiction anthology I bought recently. I haven't actually read the story yet, but it's at the end of the anthology so it's probably good- the beginning and end of anthologies are usually the strongest stories.
